After six years of collaboration and planning, Chiang Mai University Language Institute is thrilled to have successfully hosted the first-ever UTS Foreign Correspondence Study Tour (FCST) program! This pioneering program welcomed 13 talented journalism students from the University of Technology Sydney and paired them with local students from the Faculty of Mass Communication, มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่. Together, they explored the crucial theme of human rights issues affecting Myanmar citizens in the border region of Mae Sai, Thailand. The program’s objective was both ambitious and inspiring: to co-author impactful stories that reflect real voices, with the opportunity for publication on the Central News website. A huge congratulations to all participants and faculty for making this unique learning experience possible. It’s a true testament to the power of international collaboration and storytelling to shed light on complex social challenges. Here’s to many more successful partnerships and programs to come!
