In the second week of the TF SCALE Programme, our CMU students explored exciting topics like “Singapore’s Pop Culture” and “Singapore’s Water Story.” Their visit to “Marina Barrage” gave them a close look at Singapore’s water systems and sustainability efforts, showing why the country is a global leader in environmental innovation.
One of the week’s highlights was the lively exchange with special guests from “ATSIS” (Association of Thai Students in Singapore).
Thai and Singaporean students had a fun and insightful discussion, sharing their experiences about student life in Singapore.
Adding to the excitement, students also participated in an experience at “Dialogue in the Dark” where they spent time navigating life from the perspective of a visually impaired person. This immersive experience not only left a lasting impact on our students but also heightened their awareness of inclusivity and the importance of supporting individuals with disabilities in society.
The week ended with an exciting joint project on “Green Energy and Sustainability” where Thai and Singaporean students teamed up to present ideas on sustainable practices in their countries. The final Friday featured a closing ceremony, with Assistant Professor Sakorn Ruanklai, Acting Director of LICMU, giving a closing speech. The students also gave impressive cultural performances, wrapping up the first half of the exchange perfectly.
But hold on—this is just the halfway point! The Singaporean students will be in Thailand to continue this cross-cultural journey. Stay tuned for more learning, laughter, and unforgettable moments in the weeks to come!
