Global Campus Foundation Partners with the Language Institute to Empower People with Disabilities

On January 28, 2025, Mrs. Sheryl Tewksbury and Mr. James Tewksbury, founders of the Global Campus Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting the creation of educational and career opportunities for people with disabilities worldwide, visited and paid their respects to Assistant Professor Sakorn Ruanklai, Director of the Language Institute. The Foundation has been a long-time supporter of the Chiang Mai Disability Association, which operates within the Language Institute building. During the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed to provide language skills training for students and people with disabilities, as well as to facilitate the use of the institute’s facilities for career training and other related activities under the project. The Language Institute building is well-suited for activities supporting people with disabilities and has been recognized for its accessibility and received an honorary award from the Friendly Design for All Foundation and was honored with the Friendly Design Award 2023 from the Chiang Mai Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security.
