On 20 January 2026, the Language Institute, Chiang Mai University (LICMU) welcomed officials from the Chiang Mai Provincial Employment Office for an on-site visit to monitor and review the work performance of persons with disabilities who are supported to work at the Institute. LICMU provided full cooperation and facilitated the monitoring process to ensure it proceeded smoothly.
LICMU has continuously promoted social support, equal opportunities, and meaningful participation for persons with disabilities through collaboration with the Global Campus Chiang Mai Foundation. This partnership supports work placements as well as personal and professional development for persons with disabilities, including Chiang Mai University students and members of the general public affiliated with the Foundation, enabling them to participate appropriately in a range of activities at LICMU.
In addition, LICMU has enhanced its physical environment and facilities to better accommodate persons with disabilities, including wheelchair ramps, designated parking spaces, and accessible restrooms. These efforts aim to promote equal access, reduce barriers to the use of facilities and participation in activities, and reflect LICMU’s commitment to advancing an inclusive society that leaves no one behind in a tangible and sustainable manner.
