The LICMU CEFR Test is an English proficiency test based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It is divided into six levels, from A1 to C2, where A represents Beginner, B represents Intermediate, and C represents Advanced. Each level measures the ability to use and understand English in everyday life. Typically, companies or educational institutions specify the required proficiency level. For example, the Ministry of Education requires candidates applying for teaching positions to achieve at least level B1.

Level A – Basic English Users

A1: Can communicate using familiar and simple content, such as introducing oneself.

A2: Can communicate about general topics and subjects of personal interest.

Level B – Independent English Users

B1: Can frequently communicate details about common topics and various events.

B2: Can communicate complex content with a wide range of vocabulary.

Level C – Proficient English Users

C1: Can communicate and understand complex content effectively for different purposes.

C2: Can listen, read, speak, and write almost like a native speaker, with strong understanding of complex content and grammatical structures.
