On Thursday, December 26, 2024, the Language Institute of Chiang Mai University organized a hands-on workshop titled “The Importance of Cultural Awareness in Teaching Thai to Foreign Students” at Novotel Chiang Mai Nimman Journeyhub. The workshop aimed to enhance the teaching potential of Thai language instructors by equipping them with effective teaching skills and fostering a deeper understanding of Thai culture among foreign students.
The event was honored to feature Dr. Sasiwimol Klaiklueang, Assistant Director of the Language Center, National University of Singapore, as the guest speaker. Dr. Sasiwimol shared her expertise and insights, offering practical techniques and approaches to integrate Thai cultural elements into language teaching for improved learning outcomes.
